Mihingo Lodge is a superb, eco-friendly safari holiday accommodation located close to Lake Mburo National Park. Built atop and around a massive kopje, the lodge has a collection of 12 tented rooms, each of which overlooks a different section of the park. The rooms are created from naturally occurring materials and are cut into the rock; even the ensuite bathrooms have shower areas carved into the stone. The lodge has a charming, rustic ambiance, with furniture made out of rough-hewn wood, dead olive tree branches for doorways, and kikoi fabrics for the furnishings. Over 100+ solar panels generate power, while rainwater is harvested for use around the lodge. |

When visiting Lake Mburo for your wildlife safari, we recommend combining it with Bwindi Park for your gorilla safari trek, Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls and Kibale (chimpanzee safari) alongside your city tour visits of Kampala and Entebbe.
