BEST TIME TO VISIT LAKE VICTORIA FOR A NORTHERN TANZANIA SAFARI
Though, you should note that the lake is visited with lesser concentration of tourists when compared to the neighboring Serengeti. Average temperatures range from 66-80 F (19-27 C) at Lake Victoria, a range that is comfortable for most AfricanMecca visitors. Humidity remains primarily in the forested areas around the lake, and most guests find the cooler June through August to be the most comfortable months for touring Africa's Lake Victoria.
The area around the lake experiences the short rainy season in November and December with humid, patchy showers and semi-dry spells in January and February while long rains from the middle of March through May and early June. Walking trails and roads may be more demanding to navigate during the rainy season, but the renewed transformation of the landscape as moisture quenches the parched ground is a breathtaking sight!
The time of year that you visit Lake Victoria may also affect the cost of your lodging. While the costs associated with flights and safari activities do not change, some lake accommodations offer lower room fees during the low tourist season of the short and long rains.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
