Singita Sasakwa Lodge is situated in the Grumeti Reserves amidst vast numbers of resident and migratory fauna year-round. The Singita Grumeti Reserve covers more than 350,000 acres of untouched, private land in the western corridor of the Serengeti ecosystem. The reserve is on the route of the Great Migration, giving you once-in-a-lifetime access to one of the world's most spectacular natural events. Since 2003, when the reserve was established, conservation efforts have protected an abundance of resident wildlife, such as the five most sought-after animals -- lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and African buffalo. Singita Sasakwa Lodge offers 9 elegantly-appointed cottages to choose from as you plan your tour of Tanzania with AfricanMecca. The cottages accommodate single travelers, couples and families who are visiting Serengeti during their tours of Africa. Gastronomic delights are served each day, and you have a variety of activities to enjoy during your stay at the lodge, such as game drives, safari walks, equestrian excursions and an on-site spa. The area has more than 70 species of mammals, more than 400 breeding African buffalo, one of the largest concentrations of elephant in Africa and many others. Singita Sasakwa Lodge is also located along the path of the Great Migration when over one million wildebeest and thousands of zebra travel north through the reserve around May-June, and return back south in November.
Accommodation At Singita Sasakwa Lodge
From the time you wake up to the golden rays of sunlight stretching across that vast plains of the majestic Serengeti to the moment you drift off to sleep, Singita Sasakwa Lodge embraces you in the utmost elegance of old world charm during your trip to Serengeti. Nestled within the Singita Grumeti Reserve, the lodge embraces you with rich splendor. The 9 cottages are designed with an opulent blend of European style and traditional African artwork that entices you to relax with a glass of cognac while you read or journal about your vacation in Africa. Refined wood and leather finishes glow under the soft light of shimmering chandeliers. Your cottage is furnished with beautiful beds that ease you into sleep, a full bathroom, dressing area, bar, refrigerator and private veranda where you watch the wildlife through the highest quality spotting scope. The African sky is reflected in the private and communal infinity pool that seamlessly falls into the Serengeti landscape. The lodge accommodates 34 guests in one, two, three and four bedroom cottages. Some of the cottages are wheelchair accessible, and all of the cottages have electronic safes, telephones and wireless internet. The four-bedroom cottage is the perfect retreat for families on a Tanzania safari and includes nanny quarters on the bottom floor and a private infinity pool. The one, two and three bedroom cottages also have their own private infinity pool. You have access to full laundry and valet services during your Singita Sasakwa Lodge vacation in Tanzania.Safari At Singita Sasakwa Lodge
Your Singita Sasakwa Lodge safari includes a variety of activities to bring you close to the flora and fauna of the Serengeti, such as game drives, safaris on horseback and bush walks with an add on Serengeti balloon safari experience. Your morning and afternoon game drives take you in the comfort of a four-wheel drive safari vehicle with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Your guide also maintains radio communication with other safari vehicles to share valuable information about the fauna, such as last location, sightings and footprints, to take you to locations with unique or highest concentrations of wildlife. Because the lodge is located on a private concession, you may also choose to participate in a night game drive where glowing eyes peer from the bushes. Each safari vehicle accommodates six guests, and you may request a private vehicle for a truly personal experience during your African safari. The Singita Grumeti Reserve covers over 350,000 acres of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. In addition to the Big Five, Sasakwa gives you access to spry herbivores, such as impala, topi, eland, Coke's hartebeest, who graze near powerful carnivores, such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal and many others. The reserve is also home to many species of monkey, such as Colobus, Patas and many others, and more than 500 species of avi-fauna, such as Rufus-Tailed Weaver, Red-capped Robin Chat, Helmet-shrike, Black-headed Gonolek, Fischer's Lovebird, and many more. From May through June spilling over parts of July, over one million wildebeest and thousands of zebra travel north through the reserve as part of the Great Migration. In November, the animals travel return south via eastern Serengeti path. Singita Sasakwa Lodge offers a unique Tanzania safari experience on horseback, as well as access to the Singita Grumeti Reserve Environmental Education Centre. You must be an intermediate or advanced rider for the safaris on horseback.Dining At Singita Sasakwa Lodge

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
