Set atop the Mwamveni Hill, Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge (aka as Mbalageti Safari Tented Camp) is a spectacular part of any western Serengeti trip. Located in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park, Mbalageti offers a breathtaking 360 degree vista of the Serengeti plains with a short drive to the Mbalageti River. It is witness to the greatest wildlife spectacle of any African safari: the great migration of over a million wildebeests between Serengeti on route to the Masai Mara between the months of April and June.
Alongside the innumerable wildebeests, AfricanMecca guests can see pockets of thousands of migrating zebras also amongst the resident giraffes, gazelles and other hooved herbivores. The congregation of the mass plains game attracts predators of Africa like the lion, cheetah and leopard. All vehicles are fitted with professional radio links for communication in between guided safari vehicles and the central command unit.
This ensures intelligence is shared between guides to track wildlife footprints, sounds and last sightings for maximal wildlife viewing opportunities. Mbalageti’s location delivers excellent wildlife encounters due to its proximity to the river where animals gather at sundown for a cooling off drink before the night sets in on the African plains. Mbalageti Serengeti is a unique lodge in that it has symbiotically nestled itself into the Tanzanian landscape by using natural elements of its surroundings for that perfect Tanzania safari ambience and low ecological impact.
Accommodation At Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge

With two bedrooms, a private outdoor bath and a large lounge porch, you are bound to be pleased with the little extra touches of this accommodation provided in the untamed, wilderness surroundings. The tented chalet is another option which provides one-of-a-kind thatched roofing to the verandah for a slice of peace and serenity.Safari At Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge
Mbalageti is the site of the Serengeti’s best wildlife spectacle- the migration of the wildebeests and zebras. This is a unique, year-round procession which can be viewed from Mbalageti (around April to June) because of water availability at Mbalageti River and the Grumeti River supplemented with fresh short and long grasses. One can also see various residential fauna of the Serengeti like buffalos, warthogs, hippos, elephants, giraffes, impalas etc foraging, strolling, galloping or simply resting.Dining At Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge
Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge provides all you with a delicious menu and fine dining experience to complete your Africa vacation. A fusion of local and intercontinental selection for a gastronomic experience can make your every meal needs and preferences be met while letting seasoned (no pun intended) foodies enjoy their delicious treats.Related Pages

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.

We have returned from our African adventure and would like to thank you very much for your part in making this such a wonderful experience. We were lucky enough to time the Great Migration from the Serengeti, which was amazing.
