Located inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the southern border of the Serengeti National Park, Lemala Ndutu Camp offers luxurious tented accommodation nestled amidst umbrella thorn acacia trees. The private campsite is situated along the grassy plains filled with resident and migratory fauna.
Your tour of Africa at Lemala Ndutu Camp includes daily game drives and optional walks within the Serengeti ecosystem. As part of the Great Serengeti Migration, the southern Serengeti landscape around the camp serves as calving grounds for over one million wildebeests and thousands of zebras starting from December to March each year.
Over 8,000 wildebeest calves are born each day when the birthing season kicks off though the duration of live births varies on seasonal and natural factors. Within minutes, a wildebeest calf must stand or risk being abandoned and left at the mercy of stealthy predators that are camouflaged by the tall grasses. From your guided AfricanMecca vehicle, you watch, wait and hope as each calf stumbles on wobbly legs responding to the gentle encouragement of its mother.
Seeing new life taking on the wild challenge to survive is one of the most memorable experiences of your trip to Serengeti. The supplemented diverse landscape includes a savannah where black rhino and cheetah breed among enormous termite mounds, Acacia Tortilis and isolated rock formations. The savannah is also home to over 500 species of birds and 100 sub-species of the curious dung beetle. South of the camp, hippos and water-loving birds bask in beautiful lakes with reflections of the glorious blue skies of Africa.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
