What We Like About Kaskaz Mara Camp

  1. Kaskaz Mara Camp is a small accommodation with only 10 tents, including a honeymoon suite. The staff are superb and the interactions with the managers are personable.
  2. Guests enjoy an authentic canvas tent safari experience.
  3. The camp is set up in a good location with views of the plains and traversing wildlife.
  4. Guests appreciate the culinary creations by the chef, especially the unexpected samplings in the lunch boxes for game drives.
  5. Kaskaz Mara has upper mid-range prices for a balance between quality and quantity.

Things To Note When Staying At Kaskaz Mara Camp

  1. The camp is suited to all travelers including families.
  2. This is not a 100% ‘green’ camp as it uses generator and solar power.
  3. It does not have a river-side location like other camps near the migration crossing points.
  4. Some tents are further from the mess tent due to camp layout – guests with limited mobility should request tents closer to the central area.
  5. The closest airstrip (Kogatende) is approximately 40 to 45 minutes from the camp, and Lobo Airstrip is 1.5 hours from the camp.
