AfricanMecca invites you to explore the beauty of Serengeti National Park, a world-renowned travel destination for the curious, adventurous, and thrill seeking. Elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and other resident herbivores are joined by leopards, cheetahs, lions, and other great hunters to keep guests engaged at every turn. The highlight of your dream safari holiday, though, will no doubt be the massive herds of over a million wildebeests and thousands of contrasting zebras.
Experience the Great Migration in Tanzania at the deluxe Serengeti Sojourn. The mobile camp moves between two key areas in Serengeti National Park to give guests the best possible wildlife viewing. From the beginning of June to the end of October, the camp operates in the Lobo area of eastern Serengeti, where guests can access both the Grumeti and Mara Rivers. From mid-December to March, the camp is in the southern plains of the Serengeti in the Ndutu area, where guests enjoy cool weather with short rains, as well as the birthing of more than 8,000 wildebeest calves each day over the course of three weeks. The camp does not operate in April, May, November, and early December.
