Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Naona Moru Camp
In the central wilderness of Serengeti National Park, the savannah plains south of Seronera spread out before you and the day-to-day predator-prey drama unfolds right before your eyes to create the ultimate travel adventure. The immense herds of the Great Serengeti Migration generally traverse past the area to the west in April-May and also again December-January while they head south. The scene is one in which the wildebeests and zebras fill the open plains. Most times it’s a peaceful and relaxing experience, but the big cat predators are always close by to liven up the days and nights!
When the wildebeest migration spreads out across central Serengeti at key times during the year, AfricanMecca guests can witness the event from the comfortable mid-range safari accommodation of Naona Moru Camp. This is a small bush accommodation that offers several ways to explore Serengeti and get close to the iconic species that make the area famous among amateur explorers, nature photographers, seasoned travelers, honeymoon couples, inquisitive families, and many others who seek the thrill-a-minute excitement of Serengeti. AfricanMecca helps you create the ideal safari trip to explore this exceptional piece of nature.
Accommodation At Naona Moru Camp
Located in a quiet area of the park, the camp has 10 canvas tents, including one romantically designed for a honeymoon vacation in the remote safari wilderness of northern Tanzania. Each tent features a lounging area, writing desk, and bed that is gracefully draped with mosquito and accompanied by nightstands and reading lamps. The ensuite bathroom offers the modern comforts of two wash basins with running hot water, a shower, and a flush toilet. You may wish to spend some time indoors, rejuvenating from your exciting holiday adventures, but the plains of Tanzania always beckon you to savor those peaceful and immersive moments on the daybed of the private verandah. Small groups of up to five people, which may include parents with three children, should consider the larger family tents. Electricity is provided via solar and generator power, and WiFi and battery charging facilities are available.
Safari At Naona Moru Camp
Central Serengeti is an exceptional safari travel destination any time of the year. Game drives take you out into the bush to observe elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, kudus, gazelles and other resident herbivores quietly grazing. You may notice one of these animals flick an ear and suddenly rise from their intent munching. Chances are a lion, cheetah, hyena, leopard, wild dog, or other stealth hunter has come into the area. This region is recognized as being superb for guests who place big cat sightings at the top of their wildlife wishlist. Lion and cheetah populations are among the highest in Africa. Watching a kill firsthand is heart pounding, and the scene is enhanced in May-June and November-December, when the animals of the Great Migration are in the area.Enjoy every part of the flora and fauna of Serengeti with morning and afternoon guided game tours aboard a 4x4 vehicle. Safari walks give you a more intimate experience, as your guide points out details that you miss on the game drives, such as animal tracks, tiny insects, and signs of wildlife that passed through the spot where you stand. You may also learn of ways that local people use various aspects of nature for medicinal and ceremonial purposes. Serengeti National Park captivates your heart and mind every moment of every day, but few experiences during your idyllic trip compare to soaring over the vast savannah plains of Tanzania in a hot air balloon. Leave before dawn and enjoy a lovely bush breakfast upon landing.
Dining At Naona Moru Camp
