Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Jabali Ridge
In the heart of one of the greatest remote safari destinations in East Africa sits Jabali Ridge, a premium 8-room accommodation located near the
Families or small groups who prefer a private safari experience with luxurious homely comforts, ultra-privacy and high levels of flexibility can also stay at the nearby Jabali Private House that offers rooming for six guests, as well as a private chef, exclusive guide and private safari vehicle for them. Children should be at least five years old to stay at this camp, and Jabali Ridge does not offer activities that are specifically designed for children.
If you are traveling with youngsters who are under 12 years of age, they will need to stay in the same tent as you. When traveling with children, a private vehicle will need to be assigned at an extra cost during the peak season. Jabali Ridge does not offer family suites or triple rooms. The luxury lodge has been eloquently constructed to blend seamlessly with a natural rocky outcrop, so our guests always feel truly connected to nature and utterly immersed in Tanzania’s remote wilderness.
Each room features an earthy color palette that is tranquil and organic. At the center of the room is a massive wood beam platform bed complete with nightstands and reading lights. Overhead is a full mosquito netting canopy and ceiling fan to ensure you a peaceful sleep. In your free time, use the sitting area for engaging conversation about exploring Tanzania’s national parks and reserves, or spend a few hours at the writing desk to author your personal stories of adventure-filled luxury travel with AfricanMecca.
An en-suite bathroom features flushing toilet, vanity with wash basin and rain shower with hot running water. We are sure, though, that your favorite part of your boutique lodge room will be the private wood deck that surrounds the inner sanctum. A lounge area with cushions is a perfect place to savor a cup of coffee or tea as the sun rises above the horizon. After your morning tour of the bush country, take a little siesta in the hammock on your deck, relishing in the gentle touch of a breeze that cascades across the vast African landscape, carrying with it the sound of trumpeting of elephants.
Other amenities of your guest room are WiFi, electricity and a personal lockbox for your belongings. Jabali Ridge is exquisitely designed with several lounge areas with spectacular views, and the infinity swimming pool is beyond imagination. Couples including honeymooners will find southern Tanzania the perfect romantic getaway, and may even wish to treat themselves to an intimate spa treatment after the morning activities.
The meals are superb and feature fresh, homemade goodies, such as breads, biscuits and two very unique and tasty delights in the African bush — ice creams and sorbets! Ingredients, such as fresh fruit, are sourced locally, and the chef takes great pride in delighting each and every guest.
Each day in Ruaha National Park offers a new safari experience as you explore the fascinating collection of flora and fauna. Jabali Ridge offers three options for breakfast that can be integrated into your morning activity schedule. You can have breakfast at the camp before your morning activity, head out a bit earlier and take a picnic breakfast or enjoy a delicious brunch when you return to camp.
The early hours of the day offer a superlative wilderness holiday experience as the African bush is painted in the soft golden glow of sunlight and the herbivores are just rousing from their nighttime rest while the predators are returning from their nighttime hunts or planning their dawn kill strategies.
You observe elephants, buffalos, giraffes, zebras and other herbivores just starting their foraging for a morning meal. Hidden in the dense bush are lions, cheetahs, leopards and other carnivores revealing their immense teeth with a leisurely yawn. Look closely, though, and you will see that the hunting felines of Tanzania are ever-prepared for an opportunistic hunt. What a spectacular way to start each day of your dream vacation in Tanzania — witnessing first-hand the natural safari behaviors of wildlife in Ruaha National Park (best time to visit)!
Upon returning to camp, you need to rejuvenate your energy with a quick nap followed by lunch. The mid-day meal prepares you for a nature walk around the camp property with a guide or simply some quiet time in your room. The camp chef takes pride in caring for the appetites of the guests, so afternoon tea is served with a few home-baked goodies. Soon after, you join your guide for an afternoon game drive or walking safari both of which conclude with sundowners in the bush and an evening game drive.
The drive back to camp is a time to reflect on the day and envision all that the new sunrise will bring. After freshening up in your room, gather with other AfricanMecca guests for cocktails and a divine three-course meal. The day ends around the campfire where everyone shares personal stories of their wonderful trips in Tanzania and the life-changing effect of Africa.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
