Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Entamanu Ngorongoro
Entamanu Ngorongoro in northern Tanzania promises to be a wilderness haven for our discerning guests who desire an exceptional bush holiday accommodation for exploring Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge features 6 rooms perched perfectly along the northwestern rim of the crater, an area that is set away from other mass lodges along the rim. The rooms are constructed of steel frames and specially-designed panels to allow for minimal environmental impact. Corrugated siding and roofs allow for gathering rainwater for the camp. Power is provider by generator.
AfricanMecca guests will simply relax amongst one of Africa’s most pristine and breathtaking safari destinations. A private verandah surrounds your guest room giving you views of the crater floor to the front and the mating plains of southern Serengeti to the back. The interiors feature eco-friendly gas-powered stoves for heating during the chilly nights, and the guest rooms are also well-insulated to keep you cozy as you slumber.
The ensuite bathroom features hot and cold running water, flush toilets, wash basin and shower. Two of the guest rooms are designed with mezzanines for families on safari with children. The owners of the camp, Nomad Tanzania, are known for providing the highest level of service and divine gastronomical delights, both of which enhance your ecological tour of Ngorongoro Crater and other adventures in East Africa.
The location of Entamanu Ngorongoro means that each morning begins with a sunrise over the crater, an enchanting scene for enjoying coffee, tea and tasty morning delights on your private verandah. You then join our expert guide for a morning game drive. Just a short 30-minute descent trip gets you to the crater floor, a heavenly African landscape of springs meandering across grassy plains, along acacia woodlands and through marshlands where an estimated 30,000 animals roam freely.
The wildlife in Ngorongoro Crater is so abundant that you may sight all the Big Five in a single day, identify hundreds of bird species and witness natural behaviors of an incredible diversity of fauna. We recommend that you extend your morning game drive to include a bush picnic on the crater floor. Nibbling upon a scrumptious mid-day meal with fauna wandering nearby is sure to be a highlight of your outback travels.
You may also return to camp for a late lunch and an afternoon of leisurely self-directed activities or a visit to a nearby Maasai village. After your picnic lunch on the crater floor, continue on your afternoon game drive and sundowners in the bush. After dinner, gather with other guests around the campfire to enjoy a glass of cognac and share stories about your African adventures.
Should you plan to stay for multiple days, AfricanMecca Safaris can arrange other adventure vacation activities and attractions around Ngorongoro, such as visiting the jade green lake of Empakai, 500-foot waterfalls of Olmoti, hiking the Ol Doinyo Lengai (Mountain of God) and many more of Tanzania’s well-known natural landmarks.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.
