WHERE TO STAY IN ARUSHA CITY
All of the Arusha accommodations are located inside the city or within short distances with the exception of the ones close to Kilimanjaro Airport e.g. KIA Lodge. Tier 1 Premier accommodations in Arusha are considered the highest quality in all aspects e.g. Arusha Coffee Lodge.
These lodges offer top-notch guest services, finest of foods and its ingredients, activities both on and off the properties and exquisite small number of guest rooms with special features, such as fireplaces, private verandahs with breathtaking views, large sitting areas and spa-like bathrooms. Services at these premier Arusha lodges include optional spa treatments or in-house-coffee farm tours and cultural tours.
The Deluxe Tier 2 accommodations in Arusha may be situated in the gorgeous foothills of Mount Meru e.g. River Trees Country Inn, so you are surrounded by nature's beauty during your stay. Other locations may be in the city e.g. The Arusha Hotel. While staying at a Tier 2 lodging, you enjoy scrumptious food, excellent guest services, very good views and location but the accommodation may have slightly higher number of rooms and a notch down with service personalization compared to a Tier 1 Premier.
Your guest room may have a verandah, and the bathrooms typically have either a shower or bathtub. Some deluxe accommodations offer spa treatments (read more on when is the best time to visit the township of Arusha). Value options are budget-friendly hotels and lodges that offer you basic amenities while staying in the city or the suburbs of Arusha e.g. Dik Dik Hotel.
At a Tier 3 accommodation, you may experience some traffic from the highway and city noise in certain rooms, and the facilities and personable experiences are limited in most of the budget hotels. Food quality is simple and adequate, and your guest room may have only basic furnishings, such as double beds with foam mattresses, limited hot water and intermittent electricity. More importantly, Tier 3 hotels generally have the highest number of rooms e.g. Kibo Palace Hotel having 77 block rooms.

AfricanMecca's professionalism and care understands that what distinguishes Africa is its authenticity, the land, people and wildlife who do not share our world of fashion and fanfare that distinguish so many travel companies today.

EAST AFRICA SAFARI BOOKING TRIP IDEA FOR ARUSHA IN NORTHERN TANZANIA
When staying in Arusha, we recommend experiencing some of the surrounding Arusha attractions and cultural activities before your Northern Tanzania safari to Serengeti (wildebeest migration), Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. You may hike Mount Meru or Mount Kilimanjaro to experience a full day trek or multiple days climb, or even explore Arusha National Park for an adventurous canoeing experience on Momella Lakes combined with a game drive. End your trip with a Swahili cultural tour and beach holiday in Zanzibar.
You may optionally extend out to offbeat parks in Southern and Western Tanzania such as Nyerere (Selous), Ruaha or Katavi ending with a chimpanzee trekking safari at Gombe or Mahale by the relaxing Lake Tanganyika.
