A thatched shelter over the tent serves as additional protective layer from the elements while camouflaging with the surrounding landscape. Inside you find all the luxury comforts you need, including a large cozy bed, lamps, upholstered nightstands, small writing-cum-dressing table with mirror, bench seat, indoor/ outdoor chairs, daybed and trunk as a safe.



You have plenty of shelving and storage for all of your items and clothing, so you are able to relax and feel at home. The outdoor shower offers views of the surrounding hills while the indoor toilet and sink give you the privacy you need. The staff brings you coffee or tea each morning that you sip while taking in the views from your private patio.

After you indulge your senses in a cup of coffee or tea, meet with your guide for a morning activity, such as a game drive, nature walk or visit to the Samburu village and “Singing Wells”. We recommend that you spend a portion of your morning at the watering hole, as this is the best time for beautiful light and wildlife activity that lends to some of the best-photographic opportunities.



Return to Sarara Camp for a late breakfast in the dining area, and then find a quiet spot for a nap or reading. You can also use this time to reflect upon your morning experiences and plan for the remainder of the day. When temperatures are comfortable, the buffet-lunch is served under a shady tree, but on hotter days, lunch is served in the dining area.

You have some time before mid-day tea to freshen up and relax so that you are fully prepared for an energetic evening tour of the Northern Frontier in Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, and we highly recommend a night game drive. Animal behavior is quite intriguing as the sky darkens, and many nocturnal animals come out of their daytime hiding places, including the elusive leopard.



The setting sun offers a spectacular show to be enjoyed with cocktails before dinner is served on the terrace with views of the swimming pool or wilderness.
