GUIDE ON ANDBEYOND BATELEUR CAMP IN KENYA
Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For andBeyond Bateleur Camp
For the discerning guest who desires an exemplary Kenya travel accommodation, AfricanMecca recommends andBeyond Bateleur Camp, a luxury camp that is nestled within the dense forests along the western Mara Triangle boundary of Masai Mara National Reserve. The stunning location, seclusion, warm staff, impeccable hospitality, classical design and other outstanding characteristics of the camp exceeds your expectations for a traditional African safari vacation. The 18 guest rooms are divided into two sections (south and north), each with nine guest tents, so the staff will pamper you with attentive and discrete service. African exploration of the 1920s and 1930s is the part inspiration for the colonial boutique décor of your tent. The centerpiece of your tent is an elegant four-poster bed that is constructed of large wood beams. The warm, rich color of wood flooring and other design elements further creates a sophisticated yet traditional space for you to relax after your action-packed tour of Masai Mara Reserve. The sensational ambience of your tent continues in the ensuite bathroom that features a large double-sink vanity made of dark wood that perfectly complements the natural stone walls, shower and large mirror over each sink. For those times when you want to enjoy the beauty of Kenya alone, your private verandah is an excellent place to relax in the deep leather chairs with a pacifying glass of wine or cocktail. When you want to mingle with other guests, the old-world charm of the distinct south and north lounge encourages new friendships and engaging conversations. As dawn breaks across the Mara Triangle, your private butler brings coffee and tea to your tent as part of your wake-up call. You may hear an intriguing sound outside your tent, and when you step into the sunlight, you may see a giraffe quietly foraging for an early meal. Being this close to the wildlife only builds your anticipation more, and you excitedly dress for your morning game drive in the reserve. You meet with your guide and share the animals and behaviors that most appeal to you. Using an intimate knowledge of the reserve, as well as the flora and fauna, your guide knows the finest vantage points in the reserve. Your early morning photo trip in Masai Mara is perhaps your first time seeing such a large diversity of African wildlife, such as elephants, topis, hippos, buffalos, zebras, impalas and other herbivores. You may even spot some of the most majestic canine creatures, such as black-maned lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other powerful predators. If you travel to Masai Mara Game Reserve from July to October, you are likely to see the massive herds of wildebeests and zebras of the Masai Mara - Serengeti migration (read more on when is the best time to visit Masai Mara for a South-western Kenya safari). End your game drive with a bush breakfast or return to this andbeyond camp. You then spend the rest of the morning napping, reading or lounging by the pool. After a delectable lunch, relax on your verandah, write in your travel journal and other pastimes before afternoon tea and a late day game drive. The breathtaking views from the Oloololo Escarpment are best enjoyed with sundowners before returning to camp for dinner, after which you have the option for a night game drive in the private concession before peacefully falling asleep in your comfortable bed. To further enhance your glamorous bush holiday in Kenya, AfricanMecca Safaris recommends a morning bush walk, hot air balloon safari, cultural tour of a Maasai village and hiking along the trails around andBeyond Bateleur Camp.
