GUIDE ON ELEWANA ELEPHANT PEPPER CAMP IN KENYA
Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp
For a truly authentic Masai Mara safari holiday, AfricanMecca recommends the rustic style of Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp. Located in one of the premier African safari destinations, the camp is sited within the private 74,000-acre Mara Conservancy. At Elephant Pepper, you find a splendid combination of traditional bush camping with all of the modern conveniences and complete luxury. With only 9 tents including a honeymoon-cum-family boutique suite, the staff are always available to pamper you with personalized and attentive service. Your tent is the perfect place to relax and watch a bush story unfold across the stunning landscape before you. Five double and four twin tents are available to fit the needs of solo travelers, couples, families and small groups of friends. The spacious layout includes a main bedroom and ensuite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower. From your bed and private verandah, you gaze across the plains watching elephants, gazelles, giraffes, dik diks and other wildlife roam in complete well-being and freedom. The 80-square meter suite is a perfect getaway for a romantic couple’s trip to Kenya including honeymooners or even for your family vacation. The suite includes a main bedroom and ensuite bathroom with double vanity, safari shower and flush toilet. The large verandah includes furnishings for lounging and private meals, and the private campfire area is an intimate place to spend quiet time together. If you are seeking up-close experiences with resident fauna during your remote East African tour, you will be absolutely delighted with your wake up call. Coffee and tea accompanied by freshly baked treats are brought to your tent as the day begins. Enjoy these lovely delights on your verandah while watching buffalos and other creatures roam between the guest tents. The experience only builds your enthusiasm and anticipation of a morning game drive. Put on your favorite and most comfortable safari clothing and head out to meet your guide. Your guide’s experience, expertise and intimate knowledge of the game reserve and conservancy means that you have the best possible chances of seeing a large variety of wildlife and unique animal behaviors during your exploratory travels in Masai Mara. From July to October, you will also witness the massive herds of migratory wildebeests and zebras on their great exodus from the Serengeti. Your action-packed tour of Masai Mara National Reserve is sure to build your appetite, and you may end your game drive with a bush breakfast or return to Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp for your morning meal. The amazing gastronomical preparations may leave you needing a nap from your dawn start, and you have plenty of time for that and other pastimes before lunch. We recommend that you spend some time before or after lunch at the local Maasai village. After you mid-day meal, take time to read, journal, interact with other guests and so much more, because soon mouthwatering edible creations and tea will tempt your taste buds. The remaining sunlight of late afternoon cascades over the savannah and invites you to once again venture into the bush on foot or on a vehicle. Your guide points out subtle differences in animal behavior that occur only at twilight, including nocturnal creatures that are seldom seen during the day. You may end your day after sundowners and dinner, or partake a mysterious night game drive in the conservancy in search of nocturnal fauna or even lion night-hunts. The next morning, you can take up the optional AfricanMecca proposed balloon safari for a bird’s eye-view of the fauna teeming plains of Masai Mara.
