GUIDE ON SARUNI WILD IN KENYA
Navigation Tip - Go Directly To Prices, Reviews, Map, Photos, Video & Room Rate Guide For Saruni Wild
If your fantasy African luxury safari includes a traditional boutique accommodation with the least amount of in-camp guests set in a secret hideaway amidst the bush valley, Saruni Wild is just for you! Located in the periphery of Lemek and Mara North Conservancies, this upmarket camp offers only 3 classic-premier tents that are inspired by the Zen-Orient culture. A neutral color palette relaxes your mind and body while fresh breezes dance along the vast savannah into your own intimate space. Each of the two standard tents features a roomy and cozy bed that is perfect for cuddling with your loved one or simply lounging solo while gazing across the landscape. A lounge area and private verandah invite you to simply sit quietly with a lovely cocktail and later relax with a good book, journal, review the nature and wildlife photographs that document your dream AfricanMecca vacation in the Kenyan Great Rift Valley. Modern conveniences are close-at-hand in your bathroom with flush toilet, wash basin, vanity and shower. Your family will relish its bonding trip in Mara North Conservancy in the third larger family tent. Two adults and two children are comfortable in the two en-suite bedrooms with flush toilets and showers in the bathroom. Evenings are spent in conversation on the private verandah with plenty of seating for all! As a parent, you will appreciate the special activities for your child’s wilderness holiday in Masai Mara, including the ultimate experience – the Maasai Warrior Academy! While your child is enjoying the cultural immersion with a guardian, you can sneak away to the Maasai Wellbeing Spa for some pampering and tranquility. Each morning at Saruni Wild, coffee and tea are brought to your tent as part of the wake-up service. The beverage warms your soul while you dress for the day’s activities. We recommend a morning tour of Masai Mara so that you become familiar with all that Africa has to offer. Your guide’s experience and personal knowledge is an asset in locating the most-desired large and small mammals during your game drives. The conservancy and reserve are home to giraffes, hippos, gazelles, elephants, buffalos, zebras and other varied herbivores. The keen eye of your guide also increases your chances of seeing a lion, cheetah or other stealthy terrestrial hunters capture a morning prey. Breakfast is served in the bush, or you may return to camp. With your appetite satisfied, you may have the energy for a guided bush walk, birding tour, hiking or village visit. You may also spend the remainder of your day at the camp reading, writing and lounging. Your hunger is held at bay with an Italian-inspired lunch and afternoon tea. The late day sunlight transforms the Kenyan bush as nocturnal animals emerge from their hiding places and other wildlife prepare for the onset of darkness. A game drive during this part of the day enhances your bush travels of Kenya by revealing many unique fauna and behaviors (read more on when is the best time to go to Masai Mara for an authentic bush safari). As the twilight night sets in, celebrate a classic safari tradition with sundowners followed by dinner at camp. AfricanMecca recommends a balloon safari flight for an avian-eye view of the floral plains and fauna of Masai Mara National Reserve.
