Entumoto Safari Camp is a deluxe accommodation base for your exploratory AfricanMecca trip to the eastern sector of Masai Mara National Reserve. Located in the Sekenani strip adjacent to the border of the reserve, the location of the camp offers stunning views framed by the gentle, rolling hills. During your stay, you feel completely immersed in some of Kenya’s most spectacular bush country.



As you approach the camp, the wide open plains transition into a small, secluded area amongst indigenous trees. Natural stone paths lead you to the common areas and one of the 9 guest tents. The multi-layered canvas of your tent not only protects you from the elements, but also takes you back to a time when explorers first discovered the natural treasures of this outback. The private verandah is an intimate place to enjoy an aromatic cup of tea or coffee, escape the heat of the day for a nap or sip your favorite cocktail while taking in the incredible scenery.

Our guests’ value secluded holidays in Kenya and Entumoto Camp adequately meets their needs with each tent being spaced 100 meters apart. This means that you can interact with other guests during activities and in common areas, yet escape into your private space when needed. Each of the nine double or twin bedded tents features an en-suite bathroom in the back of the tent with a partitioned shower, towel rack and his-her sink vanity. The main area features cozy bed, bedside lamps, storage chest, dresser with mirror, canvas wardrobe, outdoor daybed and other select furnishings.



The camp also offers four tents that are specially designed for your family vacation in Africa. These tents feature two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, central sitting area with fireplace and two divans. The family tents comfortably accommodate a maximum of four persons, so they would also work well for small groups.

We recommend that you start your day with a terrestrial wildlife viewing tour of Masai Mara plains. The best way to see the reserve is a game drive. These drives are offered in the morning and afternoon, and each time of day reveals various animal behaviors. In the morning, you may see animals leaving their sleeping areas and looking for food and water.



You may also be lucky enough to see hyenas and other scavengers feasting upon the remains of a night kill by a lion or another predator. From July to October, the Great Migration from the Serengeti National Park crosses into Masai Mara Reserve, so you will likely see immense herds of wildebeests and zebras during these months. The drive is sure to build your appetite, and a tasty breakfast awaits you at the camp, including fresh fruit, cereals and full English breakfast.

Before lunch, you have time to rest, converse with Maasai guides and meet other guests. After lunch, choose an interesting book from the library, swim, take a quick siesta or write in your travel journal. End your day with cocktails at sunset and delicious dinner. After your meal, you may retire to your tent or join your guide for a night drive.
