Lewa Conservancy is one of the first cattle ranches to be converted into a reserve for wildlife and a haven for the endangered black rhino and Grevy’s zebra. Located at an altitude of between 4,500 to 7,500 feet and part of eastern Laikipia in Kenya, Lewa has a very varied landscape of highlands, deep vales, grasslands, swamps and cedar forests.
