The Msambweni Beach House is premier boutique accommodation on Kenya’s South Coast and can be reached by taking the Likoni ferry from the island city of Mombasa or flying directly from Nairobi into Ukunda Airstrip. Constructed with elements of Swahili architecture with the color white dominating the resort, you will feel like you have entered into a world of elusive indulgence and Swahili opulence in a long bygone time on your seaside luxury vacation in Kenya.



The beach house has a very tranquil ambience, and it will seem you are on your own in a biosphere of Natural Ocean beauty unspoiled by any urban existence. Msambweni House is perched on a cliff that rises 40 feet from the Indian Ocean bounded by a coral wall. The property itself is spread on 28 acres of land by the Msambweni Beach, close to Funzi Island, and has a 700 feet stretch of gorgeous white sands and swaying palm trees exclusively to itself.

This very exclusive resort is privately owned and provides discreet and personalized services to AfricanMecca guests. The entire beach accommodation comprises of a main house and 3 private villas. The main house has 6 rooms in all and overlooks a 25-meter swimming pool. Of these, the Master Rooms and the Ocean Suite are air conditioned while the two Makuti Rooms are not. If you are on a solo coastal tour in Mombasa, it is best to book a room in the main house only.



And children under 16 are allowed only if you have booked the entire main house. Each of the rooms is voluminous, and you will see intricate Lamu carvings everywhere, on the doorways and the furniture. The rooms all have private balconies and a pathway that snakes down to the cliff to a little seating area where you can enjoy the view of the Indian Ocean with cocktails before dinner.

Or choose from one of the Private Villas. Two of the villas include an air-conditioned room and a Makuti Room. They also have 30 meters and 9-meter swimming pools respectively, each with Jacuzzis for private use. The third villa has two air conditioned rooms and an 18-meter swimming pool also with Jacuzzi. The “house hotel” do not allow kids below 12 years of age in these villas.

You can also choose exotic seafood and traditional Swahili dishes that you must try on your beach trip in East Africa.
