We Felt Like Rock Stars On Safari & Beach Vacation In Kenya

HELLO RAZA,

I apologize; it was rude of us to keep you waiting so long to tell you how amazing our trip was. We have never been away so long, and when we got back, life came up fast and slapped us awake! We haven’t sat down since we came back!

So, there are no really good words to describe how wonderful our vacation was. Everything was perfect. We had no idea that we were going to be upgraded at every turn. We felt like rock stars, neither of us has had this sort of treatment on a vacation EVER!

We started at Leopard Beach Resort Diani Beach Mombasa, and we were upgraded to a brand new villa that was built on the exact spot where we got married. They allowed us to stay there for three days. This villa was extraordinary! It has a private Jacuzzi, an inside Jacuzzi for 2, an inside shower for two and an outside shower, with monkeys to watch you shower. There was a private bar…big screen TV…two bathrooms…amazing!

Our safari was so much fun. Our driver was patient and super knowledgeable. They upgraded us at Severin Safari Camp which was already an amazing camp without the upgrade. The food was great, and the service was impeccable. Elerai Camp was more rugged, but did not disappoint in the culinary department. The Maasai thought we were funny. I’m still not sure what they were laughing at… but we were happy to make them laugh! Satao Camp was upgraded since we were last there, it looked great. We were upgraded there, too. We had a bathtub that looked over the watering hole! How cool is that?

We returned to Leopard Beach where we were back in a regular room, which had a new bathroom and a flat screen TV. We had good internet access in the club. We spent our remaining days going on a short tour of Mombasa, and spending the day at Wasini Island. It was SO nice of Wasini Sally to offer the use of her dhow and restaurant to just us…it wasn’t necessary, the goof forgiven, but she went out of her way to make us feel special, and we will never stop appreciating it.

All in all, we can’t thank you enough for planning what may be the 2nd honeymoon of honeymoons.
